What is happening in the rest of Thailand right now: provinces by level, reported floods with their sources, measured heavy rain and river levels, TMD bulletins and travel disruptions.
Hazards
The Koh Samui watch only looks at the island. This page looks at the whole country, because a flood in Bangkok or on the Eastern Seaboard matters to you even when Samui is dry: flights, ferries, trains, supplies and family all go through the mainland.
It combines two very different kinds of information:
Official declarations (DDPM disaster areas) and TMD weather bulletins are shown as they are published.
Start with the banner: the national level (0 Normal to 4 Leave, see National and province levels (0-4)) and the headline. The map shows each province as a coloured dot at its centre (colour = province level, thick ring = declared disaster area), reported incidents as circles (bigger = more sources, colour = severity) and measured stations as small square or round icons.
The province table can be sorted by any column. The incident list can be filtered by province, category, severity, confidence and date; the filters are kept in the address bar so you can share the view.
Most ways off the island go through the mainland (Don Sak / Surat Thani piers, Bangkok airports, the southern railway). A national flood can close them even when Samui itself is calm. See National situation vs Koh Samui and Mainland travel disruptions.
