NASA LANCE flood product from the VIIRS instruments on NOAA-20 and NOAA-21.

Limits. Clouds hide floods; no red does not prove no flooding. 375 m pixels miss small floods.

How to read it

Red = flood, yellow = recurring seasonal flood, light blue = normal water, grey = not enough clear views (clouds).

Why it matters for Koh Samui

Monsoon floods in southern Thailand (Nakhon Si Thammarat, Surat Thani) cut roads and ferries' feeder routes.
