Koh Samui watch
The travel list gathers reports of closed roads, cancelled trains or flights and disrupted piers, with their source and time. The same information feeds the exit-plan signal "Mainland travel":
blocked: a red incident (evacuation, deaths, disaster zone) or a declared disaster area in Surat Thani (including Don Sak) or Chumphon, the provinces the ferries and the southern road and rail pass through;
caution: incidents reported in Bangkok or Samut Prakan (Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports), flooding reports in Surat Thani or Chumphon, or any travel disruption in the news;
ok: none of these.
These are reports, not live timetables: always confirm with the operator (Bangkok Airways, SRT, the ferry companies) before you travel.
Why it matters for Koh Samui
Leaving the island needs both a sea crossing and a working mainland route. A calm sea is not enough if the road or airport on the other side is flooded.
