The News page gathers official bulletins, press articles and public posts about El Nino and about Samui/Thailand. Titles stay in their original language.
Why low weight in the risk level:
Articles repeat each other; one event can produce dozens of stories.
Old stories get re-shared.
Keyword matching cannot tell "no water shortage expected" from "water shortage".
Posts can be rumours.
What they are good for: local, human reports (a village without water, a road flooded, ferries stopped) that no dataset captures. Always check them against official sources (TMD, PWA, DDPM, ferry operators).
