These are the official, regularly updated government pages. The row quotes their headline (for example "Level 4: Do Not Travel" or "Advises against all travel to the whole country") and the date, and links to the full page. France Diplomatie text stays in French.
They cover security, politics, sanctions, health and entry rules, which the climate data cannot. Other decisive factors (cost of living, visas and residence, healthcare, banking, family) are not in this data: check them separately.
Advisories affect insurance, flights, banking and consular help. A "do not travel" advice usually voids travel insurance.
